/STRIP – Any existing database linkages are removed
from the new buffer zone elements. (This qualifier does not modify
the linkages on the original elements.) If this qualifier is not used,
any existing database linkages are copied from the original elements
to the new buffer zone elements.
/MERGE (default)
/NOMERGE – Normally, the script merges any overlapping
buffer zones. For the script to create the individual zones without
merging them, use the /NOMERGE qualifier.
Tip: When creating a buffer zone with a positive offset (outside) and the /MERGE qualifier is used, the resulting buffer zone can be based on several input elements. However, it only contains the database linkages from the first input element that were used to create the merged buffer zone.
